Directional Gating

Jake’s has a large selection of directional gating to help with barn traffic efficiently.

Jake’s Roll-Over Gate is a simple yet effective design for the dairy industry. They are most commonly used in pack barns to either hold the cows on the scrape alley or in the pack pen. The Roll-Over Gate has a counter balance weight on the opposite side of the where the fence is. The weights are placed in the correct position in order that the weight of the fence is evenly distributed. These gates are very handy in areas where there is no room for a traditional gate to swing. They are made with Canadian Steel that is hot dipped galvanized to withstand the wet environments when placed within a dairy.

Jake’s Sort Gate has a heavy duty design, and is most commonly used on robot and parlour exits. In a dairy they are used when a milking robot is being used to milk more then one group of cows, or when a parlour requires three-way sorting. In a robot system, the robot automatically controls the sort gate through the pneumatic system and directs the cow into the proper group. They are made with Canadian steel that is hot dipped galvanized to withstand the wet environments when placed within a dairy.

Jakes One Bar L-Gate has a simple yet effective design for the dairy industry. They are most commonly used on crossovers to hold the cows on the desired side of the pen in order to refill the stalls or to clean the scrape alleys. When not in use they can be stored along the concrete wall or fence line, on the crossover. They are built with a ‘key’ styled latch so that they cannot be opened by the cows while in use or in storage. They are built to cross any crossover up to 20 feet wide. They are made with Canadian steel that is hot dipped galvanized to withstand the wet environments when placed within a dairy.
